Our story

How Campus Terra came to be

The story of our adolescent programme, from the Senešnice farm through the Montessori Schools Andílek to our new home in Břve near Prague.

Our journey

The history of our programme

1. Montessori Schools Andílek

Campus Terra grew naturally out of the long Montessori journey of the Montessori Schools Andílek. As our pupils grew, so did the need for an environment that truly meets the needs of adolescents during a time of major physical, psychological and social change.

2. The Senešnice Montessori farm

The first important stage was the Senešnice Montessori farm, where for several years we developed the adolescent programme close to nature, work and community life. It taught us a great deal about how adolescents can naturally connect education with the real world, responsibility and everyday practical activity.

3. Looking for a new environment

Over time we looked for a place that could strengthen the community dimension of the programme even further offer more room for shared life and be easier for families to reach thanks to its proximity to Prague.

4. Campus Terra, Hostivice - Břve

This need gave rise to today's Campus Terra. In Břve near Prague a new home is taking shape where learning connects naturally with nature, meaningful work and community. Adolescents work on ecological and entrepreneurial projects, help organise cultural events and learn to take responsibility for themselves and for the whole.

Campus Terra is a place where young people develop independence, courage, cooperation and the ability to find their own way. We prepare them not only for further study but above all for adult life.
